Programme of Events and Meetings

All IWFHS Functions take place on the first Monday of the month, in the Hunnyhill Room, Riverside Centre, Newport, unless otherwise stated.

Until further notice, the Newport Quay bridge from Sea Street to the quayside is closed pending repairs. If you are coming by car, access to the Riverside is via Fairlee Road, and Seaclose; turn left at the Premier Inn and follow the quayside to the Riverside Centre.

Doors open at 7 pm and speakers will begin at 7.30 pm. Members = £1.00. Non-members = £2.00.

Parking at the Riverside Centre : If you come by car, don't forget to sign the visitors' book at the reception window and give your car registration number, as the Riverside Centre have now introduced vehicle clamping to dissuade casual parking at the Centre.

Speakers will include John DrewryIn WW I it was not just the soldiers sailors and airmen who did their bit. Our theme this year will focus on the others who contributed, including VAD nursing staff.
