THIS TABLET
IS ERECTED BY THOSE
TO WHOM SHE WAS MOST JUSTLY DEAR
AND WHO WILL EVER CHERISH HER MEMORY
WITH THE FONDEST AFFECTION.


Matilda Shute was baptised in Wootton 1803. Did not marry.
