Wootton Bridge : Burial Ground

The burial ground at the crossroads at Briddlesford Road and Whiterails Road, is that of the Church of St Michael's and All Angels (now demolished) which has continued to be used for burials registered at St Mark's Church. Although the Burial Registers have been transcribed, many of the visible headstones in the burial ground do not seem to have corrresponding entries in the Burial Register

40 of the headstones or memorials are legible; other grave markers, especially on kerb stones, are illegible. Many burials are unmarked.
