The Congregational Church was built in the High Street in 1836. It is not known when it was demolished (sometime in the latter part of the 20th C). A number of the headstones remain, in the corner of the Central Car Park.

William Mark Norman, aged 2, Emma Norman, aged 6, and Maria Norman, aged 7 months, all died in 1852. They were the children of Mark William and Mary Ann Norman, of the High Street, Ventnor. Mark William Norman was a Fishmonger.
