St Saviour's R.C. Church was built in 1923. The 2 Memorial plaques shown were originally installed in the Chapel of Weston Manor, which was at the time the home of William George Ward.



PAKENHAM, Charles John Wingfield

Second Battalion Hampshire Regiment, dearly loved
son of Charles and G.E.M. Pakenham of Headon Hall,
Alum Bay, I. of W. who was killed in action at the Dardanelles
April 28th 1915, aged 23 years.    R.I.P.
