UTTERSON, Edward Vernon
In memory of Edward Vernon Utterson, late of
Beldornie Tower in this place, Esquire, Barrister-
at-Law, and late one of the six clerks of the High
Court of Chancery, who departed this life on the
14th day of July 1856, in the 80th year of his age.
Requiescat in Pace

Utterson died on 14 July 1856 at Upper Brunswick Place, Hove, Brighton, and was buried at Fareham. He was a well known antiquary and literary editor, and formed his own publishing company, the Beldornie Press.
