Vice-President : Malcolm Tait

Malcolm Tait I was born in Camberley, Surrey 1933, and immigrant to IW in 1949, where I was briefly at Node Hill Secondary Grammar School.
I graduated 1954 from School of Pharmacy, University of London followed by a post-graduate year at School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin.
An apprenticeship year in industry was followed by National Service 1957-9; the second year was spent in Malaya; returning to the pharmaceutical industry after National Service. I was married in 1960 then transferred to community pharmacy, first in Bishops Waltham, Hampshire where our children were born, then Bristol, where I was a Civil Defence officer, and finally, in 1965, to Freshwater, until retirement in 1997. During the latter period I was, for about a dozen years, treasurer of the IW branch of the Pharmaceutical Society.
My leisure time has embraced badminton and squash. My vacations have been world-wide although mostly motor-home touring of the continent.
I was appointed to the Hon. Treasurer role in 2001, which I have now relinquished.
